Loan Deal For Ramsey Key To Cardiff City

So much recent speculation has been centred on Cardiff City’s young star Aaron Ramsey that it may be better just to get the deal over and done with so we can move on, strethen and prepare for next season – it’s only June!

A host of Premiership teams are interested and several have already made offers but these have been rejected by the Bluebirds.

Aside from the money, with a sizeable chunk upfront plus additional clauses based on appearances and success, Cardiff City are desperately seeking to secure Ramsey’s services for another season by agreeing to loan the player back.

To me, that suits everyone. Now that Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal have confirmed interest – it would be a huge shock to see him end up anywhere else. That means he would be some way off the first team, and at 17 still very young and inexperienced. Cardiff would benefit from his presence, while he needs the games to improve and his new club can sit back and watch him impress.

The most satisfying thing for me is that we have not accepted the first offer that came along. We’re not exactly accustomed to rejecting bids for any player, not least big money bids from Arsenal and Liverpool.

To me, that sounds like the perfect option for everything – the loan back. Bring on some more bids, please!
