Former Cardiff City player Rhys Weston has finally found himself a new club as he joins Walsall on a 1 year deal.

The former Bluebird left at the start of last season and after brief spells at Viking Stavanger and Port Vale – Weston was an unwanted free agent struggling to find a deal anywhere.

Weston made 170 league appearances for Cardiff City helping them to two promotions along the way. He was one of the first signings of the Sam Hammam era costing £300k from Arsenal.

‘I’m really excited by the move and I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead,’ he told the Walsall official website.

‘It’s been an interesting journey up until this point and I’m looking forward to the next stage in my career.’

Good luck Rhys and all the best for the future.
