Cardiff City have given a trial to a young striker who impressed for Manchester United reserves last season. He was a member of the Red Devil’s academy set-up for three years before his release.
Aaron Burns top scored for Man Utd reserves last term before leaving for a spell in the Icelandic league. He has now returned and is hoping to earn a Cardiff City deal if he can impress on trial. He also competed in Cardiff reserves’ friendly away at Chippenham Town last night.
Burns is 19 and a strong yet quick striker although he has had little opportunity to test himself in competitive football as yet. Cardiff City already have a young striker with potential in Matt Green and any move for Burns would probably mean a loan move for one of the two players.
Another triallist, Patrece Liburd, a dominant centre-half also took part in the match as the Cardiff scouts ran the rule over both players.
