A few minutes ago Manchester United published a statement on their official site confirming that Fabio da Silva and Wilfried Zaha are on the verge of completing their respective moves to Cardiff City.

Manager David Moyes confirmed in the statement that Fabio, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer mentioned earlier today, was already training with us, and that the finishing touches for the Wilfried Zaha deal would be completed over the next 24 hours and he then will also arrive for training.

However, neither player will be eligible for Tuesday nights game between the two clubs, Wilf is obvious as it would’ve been part of his loan deal, but Fabio presumably has seen the paperwork not go through quick enough for him to be in contention.

Moyes said.

‘We’re delighted for Fabio because he has been a great servant. We wish him well. He had one or two options but, in the end, we felt we couldn’t get him enough games. I said to the players, if you feel I’m not getting you enough games, come and see me. Fabio felt that so he’s got a move to Cardiff.’

The new United manager that discussed Zaha and said that over the summer they had discussed things, and if he broke into the United team on a regular basis, then all well and good, but if not, they would look to get him out so he could continue his development with first team action.

He confirms that they had a few offers for him this window, but they feel that Cardiff was the best option for him at this moment in time, and obviously the arrival of OGS given his status within Manchester United was obviously a plus point for Wilf’s development as far as they were concerned.

Looks set to be rubber stamped tomorrow I would imagine.

Disappointing we don’t have Fabio available, but then again at least he can bed in with the team in training now.

Am sad Fabio gad to leave this way…Back in 2010-2011 he was better than Rafael,he even started the final UEFA against Barcelona…He was not given enough games by Moyes and he is far better than Buttner.

Ferguson would’nt have left him leave.
