Cardiff City clung on for a deserved point at Leicester City, a scrappy game which ended 0-0.

Cardiff swere the better side for much of the match, but failed to create many clear chances – Peter Whittingham going closest from 25 yards as his curling shot clipped the bar.

Leicester had chances of their own, with Bluebirds’ keeper Kasper Schmeichel in inspired form.

The home side finished much the stronger team and were especially dangerous from set-pieces, but Cardiff held on for the point despite a few late scares.

I watched this on SKY – please when Dave Jones watches the recording, please, please, PLEASE let him LOOK at and seriously consider what POSITIVE contributions Steve McPhaill actually MADE [you see – I knew you’d spot if if you had a look too, Mr. Jones – it’s simply not enough .. and when McPhaill gets it wrong and the defence-splitting passes you believe are part of his play just don’t happen enough to believe they’re what he’s about and where he’s valuable – it’s time for a rest.. and who is that loon on the ‘ECHO’ who keeps on referring to him as a ‘playmaker’ – what’s that actually about when you LOOK AT WHAT HE ACTUALLY DOES?] and then look at what the great Jimmy Floyd ACTUALLY DID – for £15,000 a week he gestured angrily at everyone else to put the ball to him where exactly he wanted it so that he could lean back and score .. but it’s not working out like that because neither McPhaill nor Rae are able to do what you demand, Jimmy – so sorry, Jimmy, you’ve got to learn that OFFSIDE in this division may be different for you from your luxurious wanderings in the past, but it’s this division – with these footballers – that you’re now being paid more than anyone else to play in, so please get a bit sharper so your sparkly touches can actually be part of the game [if you can] and if you can’t, well .. what stars LEDLEY and GUNTER have been against Ipswich and Leicester – Mr. Jones : I’ve strongly supported you up to now but it’s time for you to accept that it’s the link between mid-field and scoring forwards that we’re rubbish at – Jimmy Floyd and Robbie can be twiddled about with (but they’re NOT repaying your EXPENSIVE gamble and I just wish they weren’t here and a part of the equation) but you do have some goalscorers being paid to play elsewhere, and tyhere are some youngsters who can run around and who aren’t cursed with the present CCFC Malaise – THE INABILITY TO CONSIDER FIRST SHOOTING WHEN YOU SEE THE BLOODY GOALPOSTS INSTEAD OF ARSING ABOUT SEEING WHETHER A COLLEAGUE MIGHT HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF PASSING THE BLOODY BALL INTO THE NET – apart from Thompson and Mclean who are still hanging around here .. time to get a grip .. we should have been a couple of goals up by half-time today .. why weren’t we? And thank you defence – from goalkeeper through the backs and centres although I’d rather see Gunter for Capaldi (these kids – Chris and Joe – can do anything – they’re not stuck with being single position players) with McNaughtan back and Whittingahm given the first half 45 minutes actually on the pitch that he needs to get crafting away.
