Reports are suugesting that Cardiff City striker Warren Feeney has left the club and will join league 1 side Millwall as soon as the transfer window opens.

Feeney joined Cardiff City from Luton Town, initially on loan but a permanent deal was concluded last year. We spent £100k on him, but he has failed to make any impact at all.

A loan spell with Swansea City looked to have revived his career, only for a bad injury to sideline him and scupper a permanent move to the Swans. After regaining fitness, he then suffered another injury and missed the rest of the season.

Feeney looks likely to leave Ninian Park, and will need to drop down a level. Cardiff would want a fee for the Northern Irish International, but will almost certainly lose out.

At the moment, this is just speculation but strong sources are reporting that the deal is done. It’s certainly believable.
