A recent poll on this Vital Cardiff City site asked readers their thoughts on the recent sale of Michael Chopra to Sunderland.

The poll was inspired by letters to the South Wales Echo expressing disgust and outrage by fans – a suprising outlook for a true fan.

31% were satisifed with the fee and agreed with the sale, while a majority 54% grudgingly accepted the decision.

9% believed that the sale was the end of Cardiff City’s hopes and they were now doomed to failure while suprisingly 1% only, thought Chopra to be worth more.

Some fans will have been assuaged by the recruitment of Robbie Fowler as a replacement but the majority of Cardiff Fans seemed not to be panicked by Chopra’s departure.

The £5m is not sitting in a bank account ready for Dave Jones to spend wisely if needed.
