Bluebirds winger swoops for the summit.

In-form Cardiff City midfielder Paul Parry moved to top spot in the Actim Index – the official player ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship – this week.

Parry posted a score of 14 points for his performance in the 2-1 defeat at Stoke, but it was still enough to take him above Liam Lawrence and Jonathan Walters.

The former Hereford playmaker has scored seven goals this season from 32 shots on target, and has provided eight assists for his team-mates who went through the whole of January unbeaten.

Analysis of all Championship games is taking place throughout the season and so far the top five Cardiff players are:

Player/Ranking/Position Ranking/Index Score

Paul Parry,1st,1st Ranked Midfielder,474

Roger Johnson,47th,12th Ranked Defender,328

Stephen McPhail,75th,19th Ranked Midfielder, 300

Tony Capaldi,127th,38th Ranked Midfielder, 244
