Danny Gabbidon?s performances for West Ham United have secured £250,000 for the Bluebirds this week.

When Gabbidon left Ninian Park last summer, there was a clause written in his contract which gave Cardiff a windfall if West Ham stayed in the Premiership and the player appeared in more than 50% of the games.

Now Gabbidon has made 22 appearances and the Hammers are safe on 38 points so the cash should be on the way soon.

?That’s great news,? Gabbidon told the Echo.

?I obviously have a lot of friends and I’m still in contact with several people at Cardiff and its nice to hear that money is heading their way.

?I’m enjoying my football here at West Ham and if that also helps Cardiff, then all’s well and good?.
