Cardiff City hotshot Michael Chopra is attracting interest form established Premiership clubs including Manchester City and Everton.

The hotshot has enjoyed a prolific first season with the Bluebirds scoring 22 goals. However he was sent off after the final whistle in the previous game so must sit out the remainder of the season.

Chopra may now have played his last game for Cardiff if, as reported in the Daily Star, The Toffees and Man City are prepared to stump up £4m for his services.

Chopra recently signed a contract extension with the Bluebirds tying him to the club but Dave Jones has admitted he will go if the price is right and two big clubs appear set to test Jones’ and Ridsdale’s resolve.

A £4m transfer kitty would be fantastic for Jones to rebuild the squad at the end of the season and two new strikers could be purchased who could share the goals more equally between them meaning less of an impact than when Chopra is injured or out of form.

The new deal ensures that Cardiff receive a hefty price if Chopra is to leave and £4m + 22 goals in return for the £500k we spent seems an excellent investment.
