After an up-and-down season, Cardiff City finished comfortably mid-table. A scintillating start was followed by a dismal end and the same players looked half as effective as previously.

VitalCardiff brings you an end of season review of each player. If you disagree then feel free to leave a comment at the foot of this article or e-mail Vital Bluebirds with an alternative review!!

The reviews will be published every weekday between 10-11am:

25 Malvin Kamara

Malvin Kamara was one of Dave Jones` ‘filler` signings. A free transfer from lowly MK Dons, he was not expected to flourish and was there primarily to bulk up the squad numbers.

However, when Paul Parry was unavailable to face Leeds United, it was Kamara and not Willo Flood who was given the starting place. Kamara looked strong and confident and will add a physical presence to any side.

A run of games followed for the youngster and he capped a good display with an excellent goal against Wolves, a fine finish from 20 yards. However, most of Kamara`s appearances were limited to substitutes apps. He became more of an ‘impact player`and gradually fell out of the reckoning.

A loan move to Port Vale followed where Kamara won some fans although was criticised on Sky TV for being defensively naïve.

It came as no surprise when Kamara was released at the end of the season, although he had shown glimpses of promise – he was never given a prolonged run and lacked the added quality to succeed. He will terrorise defenses in a lower league and has joined Huddersfield Town.
