Cardiff City are reportedly interested in bringing highly rated Dutch goalkeeper Dorus De Vries to Ninian Park for next season.

The keeper is out-of-contract with current club Dunfermline and is being tracked by a host of clubs in the Championship, SPL and League 1.

The 26 year old enjoyed an impressive season with the Pars last year, and the gigantic goalie is of the mould favoured by Cardiff City manager Dave Jones i.e. a big presence who can command his area.

One club definately interested in the Dutchman is fierce local rivals Swansea City. The Jacks have held talks with the player and invited him to the area. Cardiff are now showing late interest and could snatch the player in similar circumstances to Roger Johnson’s switch to the Bluebirds last year.

Cardiff desperately need another goalkeeper to share the pre-season duties with current number 1 David Forde. A number of keepers have been linked, but no signing has yet been made.
