Cardiff City’s winger/forward Paul Parry has withdraw from John Toshack’s Wales squad due to play friendlies against Iceland and The Netherlands, again citing personal reasons fro his withdrawal.

This was a recall for Parry as he made himself available for selection following a period away from Wales duty for personal reasons.

Toshack spoke to the player, and showed good faith in selecting Parry as soon as he became available again. This latest withdrawal could test Toshack, known as a man who does not like to be messed around. Alternatively, Parry could have good grounds for his withdrawal – either way, he needs to speak to his manager to clarify.

Parry has been in good form for Cardiff City this year and excelled after taking up a new forward position. He ended the season as top scorer, despite missing a chunk of the season through injury.
