Cardiff City have been experiencing particularly high interest in the last few weeks as we draw ever close to the start of the new season.
Undoubtedly, the new recruits are a big lure and one in particular, Robbie Fowler, has captured the imagination of the South Wales public.
So far the club have sold almost 9000 season tickets, up by 40% on the figure at this time last year.
In addition a remarkable 6000 new Cardiff City shirts with ‘Fowler’ on the back, have been sold. I have seen several, thankfully on the backs of youngsters, on the streets of Cardiff already.
We have been frustrated recently by stay-away fans who flock to Ninian Park for big games but give up hope when we inevitably lose a game. Hopefully the signs indicate we can expect a great season, with good (and supportive!) fans and a fantastic Ninian Park atmosphere.
