Cardiff City have sealed the transfer of 25 year old Rangers winger Chris Burke and the Scottish International will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game against Derby County.

City moved swiftly for Burke after being priced out of a move for Wayne Routledge who instead joined QPR. That left us a winger short with Joe Ledley excelling in a more central role of late.

Burke is a natural wideman and a former player of the year at Ibrox. However he had fallen out of favour following a lengthy spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury. He is now fully fit but made only two substitutes appearances for the Gers this season, and being out of contract in the summer – Cardiff City were able to land him on a cut price deal.
