Cardiff City Chairman Peter Ridsdale has denied reports by the South Wales Echo that Cardiff City are trying to sign Welsh Goalkeeper Glyn Garner from Leyton Orient in the summer.

The stopper had been linked with Cardiff and Swansea City recently ahead of his contract expiring in the summer. Cardiff however have rejected the claims and are said to be in talks with two goalkeepers currently playing in the Premiership.


The capture of a proven and experienced goalkeeper would be welcome news to Cardiff City fans dismayed by the release of long-serving Neil Alexander in light of the laregely unknown goalkeepers presently linked with the club.

Names previously mentioned were Ged Doherty and Glyn Garner while Thomas Sorensen has been mentioned as one of the Premiership goalkeepers interesting the Bluebirds.
