Cardiff City named youngster Darcy Blake in midfield to face Hull City, while 16 year old Aaron Ramsey won his first senior call-up to the bench.

Cardiff started well, and looked the side with something to play for. Steve Thompson had two chances to score a much needed personal goal, but failed to get any power on his two headers and directed both straight at Myhill. Shortly afterwards, Roger Johnson strode purposefully forward and unleashed a powerful drive which forced Myhill into action again.

After that point, Cardiff relaxed and seemed content to play out time. Shortly after the restart, the impressive Dean Windass pounced to fire home a rebound following a good save by Forde. A scrappy goal but welcome for Hull whose supporters went wild.

As has so often happened, Cardiff failed to threaten really, they lacked a cutting edge and some desire. A poor send-off for the fans after a truly terrible season`s end.

Aaron Ramsey got a brief appearance, and apparently broke a 45 year old record for the youngest CCFC player – beating as record set by John Toshack himself.

Cardiff were rubbish second half, tired, lacklustre and a load of other adjectives I cant be bothered to describe, effort becoming of some of our players today – they are desperately awaiting the end of the season.
