The Scottish midfielder has been offered a contract by Cardiff City and is available on a free transfer. However, after impressing on a loan spell at Millwall late in the campaign, Cameron has now been offered an extension to his existing loan spell.

Having signed for Wolves in August 2001 for a fee of £1.75m and scored 23 goals in 136 (+32) appearances for Wolves, Cameron has also notched up 27 Scottish caps, scoring 2 goals. At the age of 33 (34 in October), Cameron is likely to play a rotation role in the squad but is able to link the midfield and get forward to support the strikers.

Other Championship clubs are interested in Colin and he may want to move having been frozen out of first team action at Wolves until the final few games of the season when the manager was under intense pressure. Any move for Cameron may put the places of Neal Ardley or Kevin Cooper in jeopardy.

I would be reluctant to say this would be a good signing, as 1- I don’t konw anuthing about him and 2- Most of the signings we have made from Scottish clubs haven’t fitted in the England. I know people will come up with many exceptions but thats our experience.

To be fair to the bloke miked, he did play for 3+ seasons with wolves, so i reckon he knows what the championship is all about.
