Cardiff City have been rocked by a knee injury to striker Jay Bothroyd picked up after he scored at Burnley last night.

Bothroyd has only recently returned from a hamstring injury and this further blow is particularly untimely given the hamstring problem picked up by fellow frontman Ross McCormack on Saturday. If anything, Bothroyd is more important to us at present with Chopra providing excellent cover for McCormack.

Eddie Johnson may get another chance in Bothroyd’s absence but the USA International has failed to impress since joining on loan from Fulham. Paul PArry is another option but is really a winger and did well on the left against Preston on Saturday.

Teenage striker Jon Brown is currently on loan at Wrexham and got the winner for them on Saturday.
