Anyone who watched both of this year’s FA Cup semi-finals will know that neither was a classic and both encounters were decided by a single goal.

In one case, a weak shot was parried, the ball squirming out for a simple tap-in for a soft and scrappy goal. The other was a superb improvised hook, from the edge of the area to beat a goalkeeper that Chelsea failed to score against.

Of course, Vital Cardiff City is biased but it is absolutely certain that Joe Ledley was the best player on the park in our game and made a difference that no West Brom, or Portsmouth player managed.

Ledley was energetic, committed and creative. He laid on great chances for his team-mates and Barnsley right-back Van Homoet will not fancy facing the Welshman again on the final game of the season!

However, it is not Ledley but Barnsley man Brian Howard who leads the voting to decide player of the round.

All Cardiff City, and indeed neutral fans with any understanding of the game need to vote!

There is still time….! Click here to vote for clear man of the match JOE LEDLEY as the player of the round.
