Cardiff City’s mini-injury crisis appears to have abated now although athe attacking line is still causing problems.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is now fit again although Thompson is still likely to lead the line with Aaron Ramsey just behind. The options are short with Robbie Fowler (hip) and Paul Parry (hamstring) still unavailable although both are nearing a return.

It’s take your pick in midfield with Ledley, Rae, Scimeca, McPhail, Whittingham and Sinclair all vying for places.

McNaughton or Blake will feature at right back while Glenn Loovens will almost certainly be recalled at Purse’s expense.

Scunthorpe United welcome back Jack Cork, son of former Bluebirds manager Alan. The highly rated midfielder had been suspended but could return in place of midfielder Jim Goodwin, who scored at Ninian Park earlier this season.

Former Swansea City defender Izzy Iriekpen is rated as doubtful with an ankle injury so on-loan Liverpool defender Jack Hobbs could feature.

Scunthorpe are already relegated and manager Adkins has hinted he may choose to blood some of the club’s youngsters in the final few games. Joe Wilcox, Pete Winn and Jake Picton are the young hopefuls waiting to break into the first team.
