Cardiff City remain in with a tentative shout for the Championship play-offs but there is nothing tentative about the recent run of results which has seen us climb the table and keep the hopes alive.

Performances have by no means been classic, but the Bluebirds have quietly been accruing points and grinding out results.

Bluebirds captain Darren Purse was pleased with his return to first team action last weekend, and delighted with the 3-1 win over Blackpool. He also reckons, by winning all our remaining games (including a crunch match against play-off rivals Wolves) we give ourselves a great chance. Speaking on his icons.com official webpage Purse said:

‘Looking at the play-offs, we’re thinking we need to win all four of the games we’ve got left. We’ve got a game in hand over most of the teams around us and we should be in there. If we win all four, we’ll be on 72 points, then we’ll give ourselves a great opportunity to continue that run in the play-offs.’

‘It will be tough going but we’re in a rich vein of form at the moment.’

Cardiff City have four games remaining. Trips to Scunthope United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley before they face Barnsley at home on the final game of the season.

So, would you concentrate more on the cup or league? What about if you reach the playoffs, are’nt the playoffs after the cup final?? Which would you rather win?

Rather win the cup, get EURO football then assault on the Premiership for when we move into the new stadium! Of course, both would be best…… 😀
