Cardiff City striker Ross McCormack has had his red card overturned from Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Sheffield United. The striker was adjudged to have elbowed Kyle Naughton but replays, prove what the entire ground already saw in that McCormack tried to use his body. Mr Taylor had already sent off Gyepes and had no hesitation reducing us to nine men. The automatic 3 match ban for violent conduct has been rescinded and Rosco is available for the next three games.

Unfortunately for Cardiff City, Hungarian defender Gabor Gyepes has not seen his red card overturned and will have to miss a game – unfortunately that game will be a crunch clash against local rivals Swansea City.

The FAW were never unlikely to overturn both bans, despite Gabor’s protestations at the crazy decision. My feeling was that Gabor was extremely unlucky to say the least but may have been unlucky due to Dave Jones’ post match comments saying he’d have been disappointed not to get the penalty.
