Cardiff City host West Ham in the first leg of the play-offs on Thursday and will surely see a full house at CCS for this huge first leg clash.

Whilst a sell-out was always likely, the club deserve further credit for setting the ticket prices lower than in previous seasons – surely a step that Peter Ridsdale would never have taken!

This year, prices are set at £20 for adults, whereas a cost of £25-26 would have been expected. The club has not budgeted for the added revenue of the play-offs and while extra policing/stewarding costs etc will be incurred – the game is sure to result in added, unexpected revenue.

Away fans travelling to Upton Park for the reverse fixture will also have been pleased by the £15 ticket price. A large contingent of Bluebirds fans will travel, hoping to be celebrating and contemplating another Wembley trip.
