Cardiff City have some worrying injury concerns ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Plymouth Argyle. The biggest question hangs over the centre-back position and who will partner Roger Johnson. Purse is still out with a knee problem, while Glenn Loovens damaged a foot in training.

Kevin McNaughton has returned to training but is off the pace having been out for several weeks but Tony Capalid is fit to resume at left back.

Scimeca and MacLean are both out of contention but transfer-listed striker Steve Thompson is back to fitness after his banana-boat holiday mishap (for details, see here)and could return to the bench.

Veteran duo Robbie Fowler and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will start in attack with either Parry or Whittingham replacing Ledley should he miss out with the leg knock picked up in Wales’ 5-2 win against Slovakia.

For Plymouth, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has forced himself into contention with s string of good performances while Hungarian winger Peter Halmosi could be rested following his International duty.

Larrys Mabiala could make his first Plymouth squad after signing on loan from Paris St-Germain.
