Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that Cardiff simply have to give everything against Everton to get the result we want and prove that we have now finally turned a corner in our league form.

Everyone was on a high following the much needed victory over Fulham last weekend, and should we get the three points this weekend it will be the first time that we have registered back to back victories in the top flight since 1962 apparently.

Everton will be no easy task though, they are in good form themselves and the match will be tricky.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game, the gaffer explained that he remains confident we have now turned our fortunes around and he wants us to approach this match properly so we can prove it.

‘We believe and hope that we’ve turned a corner. We’re still in with a shout. It’s a chance to get something that a week ago you might’ve thought was impossible. That boost and our performances over the last two games will give us something extra and we’ll go to Goodison Park with the belief of getting something.’

Ole goes on to say that it’s very much like we have had a new beginning following the Hull result, that embarrassment if anything really was the club and the players hitting bottom so to speak, and of course when you hit bottom there is only one way you can go and thankfully we have reacted like that, and if anything, with nothing to lose we are now starting to win.

It’s certainly all to play for, a good result against Everton could see us pull out of the bottom three this weekend and that would be another major boost for everyone.

‘If we can get on a good run, we can stay in the Premier League. We know it’ll take everything we’ve got to get where we want to be. You’ve got to give everything, but that could give us that reward that we all crave for and that’s playing in the Premier League next season.’

Despite everyone being on a high, Ole does admit though that nobody is getting carried away, nobody is daft enough to think the hard work is now over and that results will simply go our way because we turn up, we are still right in the fight for relegation, but we now have a chance of winning that battle and that’s what we have to be focused on.
