Its yet another rejection for Cardiff City’s star performers in the FA Cup!

Once more we had a player nominated for the FA Player of the round award – the latest being Peter Whittingham for his superb strike and assist in the 2-0 win against Middlesbrough.

However once again, the Bluebirds missed out with the award going to Kayode Odejayi after his goal knocked out Chelsea and set-up a semi-final clash with us for Barnsley.

Ishmael Miller’s hat-trick was not enough for the West Brom striker, while Glen Johnson (Portsmouth) and Brian Howard (Barnsley) also missed out.

Perhaps this is no bad thing after Aaron Ramsey (round 3 – Chasetown), Paul Parry (r4 – Hereford), Hasselbaink (r5 – Wolves) and now Whittingham (QF – Middlesbrough) have all missed out, but the Bluebirds have marched ever onwards.

Wembley here we come…..
