Cardiff City fans and management have been handed another blow as the small squad returns to haunt us after Peter Whittingham became the latest player to suffer an injury and face a spell on the sidelines.

Long term absentees Scimeca and Capaldi have recently been joined by McCormack, Bothroyd (both hamstring), Ledley (finger) and Whittingham (ankle) on the treatment table.

The loss of both first choice wingers will be of real concern to Dave Jones ahead of this weekends trip to Plymouth Argyle. Paul Parry will play one side, with Miguel Comminges the likely candidate to fit in on the right as he returns from a 1 match suspension. Another option is to shift Mark Kennedy to a midfield role or use utility man Darcy Blake in a wide right position.

Right now, Cardiff City fans would have hoped to have forgotten man Willo Flood to call on but he remains on a long term loan deal with Dundee United in the SPL.
