Cardiff City’s newest recruit Ben Turner took his time in deciding on a move to the Bluebirds, opting to be 100% certain before making the first (permanent) move of his career.

A highly rated product of the Coventry City academy, Turner has only played for the Sky Blues as well as very brief spells at Oldham and Peterborough Utd. He made a total of 72 appearances for Coventry and will now try to oust either Mark Hudson or Anthony Gerrard to force his way into Malky Mackay’s starting XI.

A strong and commanding centre-half, Turner is also a potent threat in the opposition area and is a good option from set-pieces. City have lacked such a presence since Roger Johnson departed for Birmingham but hopefully Turner can cause problems and chip in with some goals.

Hopefully, Turner can impress the Cardiff City fans as he did the Coventry City fans and become an important member of the Bluebirds first team.
