A welcome piece of good news was confirmed by Cardiff City Football Club today with the announcement that Scottish defender Kevin McNaughton has signed an extended contract with the club.

The full-back moved to Cardiff on a free transfer from Aberdeen and has proved a fantastic piece of business and is now an integral member of the squad.

Young, tenacious and hard working – Kev can play anywhere along the back line and is expected to hold down the right-back berth this season.

This is good news for Cardiff fans, expecially on the back of news that Glenn Loovens is attracting interest from Glasgow Rangers and has been stalling on a new contract.
