What the two managers had to say about yesterday?s 1-0 defeat at Selhurst Park.

Dave Jones:

‘There were five substitutions, and the sending-off took up two minutes, so how could there be only three minutes injury time?

‘And the ‘multi-ball’ system is the worst system in the world. It seemed to stop happening after Palace had scored.

‘We also felt that Willie Boland was fouled when he tried to block the free-kick that led to Palace’s goal, but they got the little bit of luck today.

‘It was a very close game and chances were at a minimum. If we had won rather than Palace, there could have been no complaints.’

Neil McDonald:

‘The win was thoroughly deserved, it was only a matter of time before we got the goal.

‘We thought it was definitely a penalty. Andrew got a touch to the ball and was brought down. We were very unfortunate not to get the decision.

‘But it was the reaction we needed after losing 2-0 at Preston last Tuesday, and it moves us three points further ahead of Cardiff.’
