Cardiff City manager Dave Jones was happy with the result. He told BBC Sport:

‘In the first-half we made too many mistakes and looked edgy, but we got a great goal from a good run by Jay Bothroyd from a fantastic ball off Whitts.’

‘In the second-half the turning point was probably when the referee came back and disallowed the goal, which was the right decision and we all agree with that.’

‘I think Chris’s beef was that the linesman didn’t keep his flag up and thought he was going to wave for offside, but it was handball.’

Chris Coleman didn’t show up so we can’t tell you his thoughts. Most likely a strop at the disallowed ‘goal’ or possibly the tongue-in-cheek selection of music after the match as Ninian Park P.A. man Ali selected ‘Hit the road Jack’ in honour of the former Swansea defender.
