Cardiff City travel to the Walkers stadium, Leicester to face the under-achieving Foxes.

Rob Kelly’s Leicester currently sit in 17th place after a dire run of form in recent months. They have won their last two games to halt the slide but fans will be disappointed with their performance so far this season.

Ex Celtic player Momoi Sylla is out with a thigh strain for the foxes whilst highly rated defender Richard Stearman is suspended.

Cardiff boss Dave Jones will have Stephen McPhail back from a 3 match suspension, he will replace the unlucky Willo Flood who suffered an injury in his first Cardiff start against Hull City last weekend. Kerrea Gilbert is also available for selection after recovering from a dislocated shoulder suffered in a training ground accident back in October.

This means that Dave Jones could pick his first choice starting XI for the first time in a long while if Gilbert replaces youngster Chris Gunter, who has impressed during his spell in the side and looks a good prospect for the future.

Cardiff City desperately need a win after a poor run of form and a turbulent week off the field. Birmingham have opened up a lead at the top of the Championship while Cardiff, now in fith, have been in freefall – the Christmas period is an excellent oppurtunity to get the season back on track.
