Cardiff City manager Daev Jones has confirmed that Joe Ledley is out but the injury is not as serious as could have been.
Although disappointed to lose one of the stars of the side, Jones chose to look at the poitives from the situation, namely that Ledley will be back before too long – and that his absence gives an opportunity to others to impress.
Jones told the Western Mail:
‘Joe is not fit,He has pulled his hamstring.”
“To lose anybody is a big blow, but Joe has been playing well so it is unfortunate.”
“But whoever takes Joe`s place now hopefully they will take their chance.”
“Someone`s loss could be someone`s gain.”
Ledley limped off midway through the second half (against Coventry City) to be replaced by Irishman Stephen McPhail. That appears the most likely replacement, the alternatives are discussed here.
