Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has made the two expected changes to the team to play Doncaster Rovers as Riccy Scimeca replaces the injured Gavin Rae and Darren Purse comes in for the departed Glenn Loovens.
However, Jones made another change with Steve Thompson dropped to the bench despite a good finish in the win against Southampton. Paul Parry comes in but the partnership of McCormack and Parry is lightweight and untested – should Whittingham have made way instead?
Joe Ledley and Kevin McNaughton recovered from knocks to start while Comminges and Darcy Blake provide the defensive cover – presumably McNaughton would take the central spot in case of injury to Purse / Johnson.
Thompson and Bothroyd provide attacking options should they be needed.
