Norwich City grabbed two quick late goals to stun Ninian Park this afternoon after the Bluebirds were cruising at 2-0 with 15 minutes to go.

Ross McCormack scored a well taken goal inside 5 minutes to give City the lead and despite a dubious penalty awarded to Norwich – Cardiff stayed in a deserved lead.

The second half went a similar way with both sides showing glimmers of quality, but also being let down by sloppy play. Another dubious penalty decision looked to have sealed the win for City when McCormack went down in the box under minimal contact and duly despatched his second.

However, substitutions then came into play and Dave Jones inexplicably took off McCormack leaving the obviously tired Bothroyd and Ledley on the field. By contrast, Norwich City’s super-sub Arturo Lupoli scored twice to level and grab a fortunate point for the Canaries.

The first was courtesy of what looked a clear offside, perhaps a deflection occurred but it seemed clearly ineligible. The second with a diving header across goal.

Cardiff had one glorious chance to snatch the win back but Johnson’s shot hit Patterson’s head on the line – anywhere else it was in.

Disappointment, and definately 2 points dropped for City.
