Injury-Time Defeat

Cardiff’s Championship season continued with a two-one defeat to MK Dons at the stadium:mk on Boxing Day.

Had Aron Gunnarsson or Scott Malone taken good first half chances Cardiff could have been in charge at half time, as they didn’t when Nicky Maynard did early in the second half this saw him strike again his former side to put the hosts ahead.

Craig Noone came off the bench to earn (it seemed) the Bluebirds a point in the final minutes until Josh Murphy scored in injury-time to win it for MK Dons!

These were the other results.

Nottm Forest v Leeds 16:30

With leaders Middlesbrough seeing their game at Blackburn postponed this opened the door to Derby, who in winning two-nil against Fulham moved to the top of the Championship table.

Bolton’s troubles continued with them hammered by fellow strugglers Rotherham (who made it back-to-back wins) four-nil with MK Dons (as we know) easing their troubles slightly with this win as the year moves closer to an end.
