Hull City have turned their attentions to Cardiff City hotshot Ross McCormack after missing out on several previous targets including Fraizer Campbell, Michael Owen and Marc-Antoine Fortune.
The Tigers have mnade a formal enquiry and are preparing a £3.5m bid for the former Motherwell man – a fee that would be enough to interest Peter Ridsdale but probably not to accept.
Hull City desp[erately need to bolster their squad, and we have no need to sell. We must not be bullied into this transfer, especially with McCormack last week sealing a new four year contract. Losing such an important player would be a blow at theis late stage and give a replacement little time to settle.
McCormack has also attracted interest from Sunderland.
