Hillsborough Heartbreak For Cardiff City

Cardiff City capitulated and never looked litke scoring against a relaxed Sheffield Wednesday and it was with barely a a whimper that the Bluebirds surrendered the play-off place that was their to lose and looked all but guaranteed a couple of weeks ago.

City looked a shadow of their former selves in a second half where we were completely second best. The lively Jermaine Johnson got the inevitable goal with a sweetly struck shot from the edge of the area. Roger Johnson missed an open goal from 25 yards but Cardiff didnt deserve anything from the game – did they even want it?

The Cardiff City fans are stunned, Preston and Burnely both did what was required of them – our task was even easier but these were fragile and nervous boys many of whom will either leavfe or be destined for another year of Championship football.

The train wreck that has been the past month for Cardiff City will long be remembered. There are calls for Dave Jones’ head, the inquest begins…..

You have my sympathy Cardiff fans, we have finished seventh twice in the Championship since being promoted in 2000! Once by one point and once, rather like you by sodding one goal! It hurts like hell, but good luck for next season whether we are in the same league or not

i’m afraid that’s football – just take a look at us if you want unlucky and badly done to!! we’ve won the trophy, bought the t-shirt 10 times over.

We need to sell Ledley and roger and build our squad with 10 mil + we will get from them. New center mids and possibly a new…… consistent keeper this time round!! if selling roger will need a new center back. if we buy chopra for more than a million i will be going mental, we have jay and ross up front!!

HAHAHAHAHA! come off it phil, don’t sympathise with them, they well and truly F’kD up! they were ahead by a big distance 4/5 games ago with games in hand and they end the season with relegation form!!! shocking, poor, diabolical!

shocking, poor, diabolical – and yet 7th….. you have high expectations of us!

  • GThomas says:

you were 4th, with games in hand, but you were so poor and shocking that you threw it away. you were the worst team for the last few games of the season.

  • turfmanphil says:

Thats a bit unfair GT, they only had to lose 5-0 to Preston and still be in the play-offs! Sobering thought that! Look both Welsh teams did well when you luck at the complete season

    PHIL GT IS A JACK

  • GThomas says:

they don’t deserve a play-off spot the way they ended the season phil, you should be there on merit like burnley are, they deserve it, they’ve played a lot of games and been quite consistent, cardiff have just collapsed all of a sudden, no excuses, they just cracked under a slight bit of pressure. they only had to lose 5-0? to be where they were in the table and lose 6-0 to anyone in the league is a disgrace. we done the double over preston, put 4 past them with ease.

  • Bonesy says:

whomever this GThomas person is – you have to wonder why he spends so long trying to drum up interest in Cardiff’s failures . So you beat Preston, that means nothing. The table doesn’t lie, we missed out by a whisker…no-one really knows/cares where Swansea finished

  • bladesforlife1889 says:

heard sheff utd have bidded 1.5m for chopra wether we get promoted or not. good bit of businees for us i reckon

  • GThomas says:

Why I spend so long? Posting 3 comments here really does take seconds. I’m just here laughing at you for failing to reach the top 6, i’m sure a lot of you would do the same on our site, big deal.
