Former Cardiff City striker Christian Roberts has seen a promising career cut short by inury and he has been forced to retire at the age of 29. Along with Cardiff City, he also played for Swindon Town and Bristol City scoring against us on a couple of occasions although Roberts declined to celebrate his goals against the Bluebirds.


Roberts will be honoured at a testimonial match between Swindon Town and a Chelsea XI in aid of cancer research. Some big names have signed up to take part including Le Saux, Wise, Zola and former Cardiff City striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.


The match will take place on 11th February 2009 at the County Ground – Swindon. kick-off at 7.05pm.
