Cardiff’s Darren Purse has been talking to his Icons diary and says ‘things aren’t so great at the moment’

Adding, ‘I’m going into hospital for an operation today (Friday), as I’ve got a small tear in my medial meniscus inside my knee. I picked it up on Tuesday night in our game against Leyton Orient and was taken off after about 40 minutes. It was really sore, so I had a scan on Wednesday and a tear showed up.’

‘It’s not a really bad injury. It’s nothing like doing your cruciate in. I’m not going to be out for ages; maybe three or four weeks, nothing major. I’ll be back in action soon enough.’
