Goals win games. Simple really but Cardiff City winger Trevor Sinclair is looking to exploit his position and bag a few himself in coming games.

Sinlair scored Cardiff’s fourth, a low drive against West Brom – his first goal although he did get a couple pre-season.

Sinclair reckons opponents will be too busy watching Hasselbaink and Fowler up front and he can take advantage to score goals from midfield.

Gavin Rae and Joe Ledley are not known for being goalscorers, while McPhail has never scored for Cardiff and does not look like breaking that duck any time soon! We need some more midfield goals, and Trev reckons he’s the man whilst Paul Parry should also contribute a few over the season.

Sinclair told the SW Echo:

‘That (Hasselbaink & Fowler) is a strikeforce to put fear into opposing teams. But we also need to contribute from midfield. I scored my first against West Brom and want more.’
