Cardiff City have allowed young central defender Darren Dennehy out on loan despite the current injury / illness problems at the CCS.
Dennehy was a free transfer signing from Everton, but has failed to make any impact at all at Cardiff City. With Hudson, Gerrard and Gyepes fighting for places, he looked unlikely to make any contribution this season based on form while the likes of McNaughton, Darcy Blake and Commingues would likely be called upon before the Irishman.
The 21 year old Dennehy was previously on-loan with Hereford United and will join up with the Gills on an initial 1 month placement.
