Cardiff City’s pacy frontman Matt Green has linked up with former loan club Oxford United for a second loan period with the U’s.

Green had a spell with Oxford before Christmas, but had to return to home club Cardiff after breaking his collarbone. Oxford saw potential in the player, and he scored a goal whilst there leading them to make another bid for the player in January.

Green’s exit leaves Cardiff City with only veteran Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Steve Thompson as recognised strikers, although versatile Paul Parry is impressing in that role at present.

Fowler may be out for the season, while Feeney is still some way off fitness. Steve MacLean left last week to join Plymouth while as yet there have been no signs of any transfer activity in to the club.
