Cardiff City’s young midfielder Darcy Blake has received a late call-up to John Toshack’s Wales senior squad after a number of injuries to several regulars.
Joe Ledley, Vaughan and Carl Flether are among those ruled out for Wales so Toshack has opted to name Blake in the squad alongside his former team-mate Aaon Ramsey who also made his long-awaited step-up for the upcoming friendly against Denmark this week.
Blake does not feature regularly for Cardiff City, but came on as a substitute for the final 10 minutes of Cardiff City’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace. After a nervy couple of minutes, Blake settled well and protected his back four as we saw out the win.
Congratulations to Darcy Blake.
