Cardiff City FC has confirmed that the Bluebirds will in fact be wearing their away strip when it comes to the FA Cup semi-final againt Barnsley, as aopposed to their traditional Blue colours.
Barnsley will wear their expected red strip, but this causes a problem in that Cardiff’s usual strip also has white shorts. As Cardiff are the away side (technically), Barnsley have first choice and Cardiff were forced to choose between a possible strip change or the added confusion of two sets of white shorts.
The decision appears to have been made by the players, who opted for the Black away strip – partly due to the added luck it brought against Middlesbrough in the previous round.
