Cardiff City could name an unchanged line-up despite the harsh words exchanged after the poor away defeat to Burnley.

Simon Walton remains banned after his straight red against Sheffield Wednesday, while first choice central midfielder Riccy Scimeca is still sidelined with a hamstring tear. This means that Joe Ledley or Darcy Blake will deputise in central midfield.

Glenn Loovens is also out with a fractured bone in his foot but he hope to return before the end of the season.

Warren Feeney and Michael Chopra will start up-front for the third game running as they bid to work on their co-operation and score their first goal as a partnership.

Stoke are forced into at least one change after in-form striker Jon Parkin was recalled by Hull City. Former Porstmouth man Vincent Pericard could return to partner Riccardo Fuller.

Lee Hendrie, who was involved in an altercation with Dave Jones earlier this season, will have a pain-numbing injection to allow him to play. There are late fitness tests for Liverpool man Salif Diao and Dominic Matteo.

Ex Swansea City striker Mama Sidebe is definately out with an Achilles problem.
