Cardiff City have a major doubt over Scottish winger Chris Burke who limped out of the 4-2 win over Scunthorpe and missed Scotland`s midweek encounter with the Faroe Islands. Burke has a calf strain and is rated doubtful. Andy Keogh and Jason Koumas are the likely contenders to replace the tricky winger if Burke is declared unfit.

Better news for the Bluebirds is that Kevin McNaughton and Lee Naylor have shaken off knocks and look likely to play, while Gabor Gyepes is pushing for a recall after recovering from a hamstring problem. His inclusion is likely to come at the expense of Darcy Blake, who also had a thigh complaint during the week.

Defender Chris Riggott remains sidelined, but is hoping to play in an upcoming friendly against Swansea City reserves.

Nottingham Forest will be without influential defender Kelvin Wilson, who has a back injury. The Celtic target has been struggling for several weeks, and is not expected to be in contention.

Further good news for Cardiff City fans is that impressive striker David McGoldrick will also miss out with a knee injury, though Forest can still call upon the likes of Majewski, Blackstock, Adebola, Tyson and former Bluebirds favourite Robert Earnshaw

Reserve goalkeeper Karl Darlow has a shoulder problem and will not feature.
