Cardiff City strolled to a 2-0 away victory against Bath City at Twerton Park last night, but were made to work hard by a tidy and resilient Bath outfit.

The Bluebirds fielded a strong starting XI, with Darcy Blake, Mark Kennedy and Ross McCormack all handed starts. The Bluebirds struck warly when Bothroyd headed in McNaughton’s cross from the right but all thoughts of a whitewash were dispelled as Bath City dug in to makje life difficult for us.

Chopra was lively and forced a string of saves from the Bath keeper before a number of second half changes were made by Dave Jones. On came the likes of Burke, Matthews and Wildig while new loan signing Danny Drinkwater also made a welcome appearance.

Chris Burke struck early in the second half showing good pace and finish to run in from 35 yards and make the game safe.
