Cardiff City Star Eager For Return

Cardiff City midfielder Trevor Sinclair is fully back in contention for a first team return having recovered from Knee surgery and been sidelined since November.

Sinclair impressed early season but injury scuppered his chances and saw him ruled out for months. He has lost his place to Whittingham and Parry and will struggle to get back into the starting XI.

Originally, Sinclair was the most effective of Cardiff’s veteran 3 of Hasselabink, Fowler and Sinclair. However, the injury problems to date show that Sinclair’s signing has been gamble that failed to pay off. Hopefully he can take this chance and impose his undoubted class on the team and the division.

Sinclair told the official website:

‘I have come through quite a few first-team training sessions and I’m looking to force my way back into the side.’

‘There’s been no reaction from the running, obviously it is still early stages but I’m feeling good and I feel like if I get the opportunity I won’t let myself down.’

We were unable to bring in any additional players in January but Sinclair’s return does offer genuine alternatives and competition for places.
